Is it natural for animals to be attracted to someone?

For some reason every animal (mostly cats and crows) are attracted to my best friend. She's been very depressed and has been acting strange lately and almost all the animals around her just approach her for no reason. They would just sit there and stare at her and a lot of them approach her. Though a small percentage of the animals like dogs whimper and back away when they see her. What's going on?
