Question about teeth/braces?

I am 13 and will be getting braces soon. My teeth aren't that crooked. There is just a lot of crowing and a few overlaping. Does this mean I will have to have teeth pulled before braces? And when I was younger and I lost my canine teeth they began to grow in my gums. The right on came down but the left on didn't come down completely. Will this tooth have to be pulled or will they pull teeth in the back and use the braces to pull it down? And if they don't pull the tooth and they just bring it down will braces does this mean it will take longer? And should I go with clear or metal? Thanks!
