When light passes from one medium to another ,why frequency remains unchanged?
when light travels from one medium to another , it undergoes refraction. Refraction depends on the speed of light in that particular media through which light travels and does not depend on frequency. Hence frequency remains unchanged. Refraction is the result of difference in speed of light in different media.
